Abstract:

Files created and/or kept by the Division of Emergency Government (DEG), largely by the deputy director of Emergency Police Service, concerning the controversy over Indian rights to spearfish on off-reservation lakes. Subjects include manpower costs, communications, crowd control training, operational plans/basic plan, Protect American Rights and Resources, pre-planning meetings, meetings at the Governor's mansion, public information, reimbursement costs, and Mutual Aid Bill.
