Abstract:
Permanency planning files, 1983-1986, submitted by counties throughout Wisconsin, including permanency planning plans and guidelines for the achievement of permanency planning. Some files include feedback and evaluation reports on the plans. Also included are regional office plans, 1985-1986. Permanency plans were submitted by the county departments of social services to provide for a permanent plan for children in county custody. These are agency plans, not plans for individual children, and they are designed to eliminate the use of and need for long-term foster care placements by providing for either a return to the child's birth home or adoption. Permanency Planning was eliminated in the 1986 Mandate Reduction process.
