Miscellaneous pamphlets and newsletters produced by the San Francisco-based committee which led the effort to assist Harry Bridges. Between 1940 and 1945, the U.S. government attempted to deport Bridges, a leader of the International Longshoremen's Association, and the committee organized labor and political support in his defense. The collection also contains some newsclippings concerning the case. The committee was originally known as the Harry Bridges Defense Committee.
