The department began life as the Health Restoration Program Unit. In 1983, when the School of Nursing was departmentalized, the unit was transformed into the Health Restoration Department.

The records document the development of the Health Restoration Department through the proceedings of its departmental and Executive Committee meetings. Prior to 1983, the department was actually a program unit, and its administration is documented from 1974 to 1983.

Access Restrictions

The minutes for the Health Restoration Department's Executive Committee contain proceedings from closed sessions, and are therefore restricted. Please see an archivist for details. Kristine Schmidt transferred the main portion of this collection in September 1996 (accession 1996-015). An additional accession (2003-013) was transferred by unknown parties in 2003.
