Abstract:

Records of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's student chapter of Alpha Tau Delta, a national fraternity for professional nurses. The collection contains records of the local chapter as well as some national organization materials. The collection includes general information about the organization, constitutions and by-laws, handbooks, pledging and initiation materials, hymns, membership lists, minutes, correspondence, chapter reports and financial information, as well as scrapbooks and memorabilia. Also included are letters and reports from the national president as well as selected issues of the organization's official publication.

Alpha Tau Delta is a professional fraternity for nurses founded in 1921. Chapters are established in accredited schools of nursing.

The UWM student chapter, Alpha Gamma, was established in 1976 and remained in operation until 1987. The organization provided professional, educational, and social growth for nursing students.

Box 1 contains files organized alphabetically by folder title. Box 2 contains oversized scrapbooks and memorabilia.
