Abstract:
This collection, mainly consisting of a scrapbook compiled by Flora Harlos, documents the travels of Flora and her sister Adela, mostly though the southern and eastern United States from 1937 to 1939. Several additional items from a trip to Yellowstone in 1909 are also included.

Biography/History

Flora Harlos lived in southeastern Wisconsin. Flora and her sister Adela were the daughters of Mary Rheingans Harlos.

Scope and Content Note

The scrapbook largely consists of postcards and travel literature, as well as a few photographs. Items are mostly from destinations in Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Minnesota, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Michigan. Items from several Canadian destinations in Manitoba and Ontario are also found in the scrapbook. Detailed vacation typescripts from the summers of 1938 and 1939 are also included.

The collection also contains a souvenir album and several photographs from a 1909 trip to Yellowstone.
