The Architects’ Urban Design Assistance Team (AUDAT) was created to study & make recommendations for revitalization of parts of Milwaukee’s downtown to the City of Milwaukee’s Department of City Development (DCD). It was established as an independent entity in 1973 and architects from many Milwaukee firms were involved in the study. Architect Maynard Meyer of Maynard W. Meyer & Associates was the chairman of AUDAT and oversaw its operations from his firm’s offices in Milwaukee.

This collection consists of records of AUDAT’s work with DCD such as billing records, correspondence, and publications/reports in various draft stages. Also included are a few photos, notes, meeting minutes and some records on the creation/founding of AUDAT. The architecture firm of Maynard W Meyer & Associates is heavily included as AUDAT operated from their offices. The Milwaukee Street materials appear to have been handled directly by Meyer’s firm.

Subjects are arranged alphabetically and then chronologically within each folder.
