"The Scroll" was designed by Dale Kendrick and constructed between 1990 and 1998 with the support of the City of La Crosse Downtown Sculpture Committee, and the Lunde Foundry (Holmen, Wis.). The photographs have been kept in original order, which is generally chronological, though photographs of the hieroglyphic panels would predate photographs of the dedication ceremony.
