Abstract:
Correspondence consisting of letters written to Miss Blair's mother, Lucy Bartlett of Orono and Old Town, Maine, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by the latter's father, Thomas Bartlett, and young brother George, in which references are made to the Aroostook boundary dispute, the lumber business on the Canadian border, and preparations to depart for Wisconsin. There are a number of other family letters; Miss Blair's own correspondence, 1876-1910, chiefly relating to her professional work at the State Historical Society of Wisconsin; and a few records of the Young Women's Christian Association of Milwaukee and other Milwaukee social service organizations.
