John N. Daland Papers, 1897-1899, 1910-1955

Scope and Content Note

Notes, correspondence, and diaries of John and of William Daland comprise this collection. The personal diaries of John N. Daland chronicle his conversations, lectures given and listened to, and opinions on religion. The conversations appear in script format, exactly what was said to Daland and his reply. The earlier diaries are limited and chronicle weather, purchases, and places visited. Further along, the diaries become more detailed and mention family, though most entries concentrate on religious and political convictions.
