Abstract:
Records of the independent labor union, which represents the editorial and newsroom employees of the Wisconsin State Journal. Although the records date to the 1947 disaffiliation from the American Newspaper Guild, the majority of the papers relate to the association's temporary resurgence as an active union in 1974. Included are organizational materials, constitution and by-law revisions, minutes, general and legal correspondence, membership lists, and committee records dealing with contract bargaining, grievances, finances, and by-laws.
