Papers of an author, editor for The Reporter, and special assistant to President Lyndon B. Johnson. The collection consists of drafts, correspondence, and research and indexing material for two books, The Fourth Branch of Government (1959), which was a study of government and the press, and Power in Washington: A Critical Look at Today's Struggle to Govern in the Nation's Capital (1964), an examination of the executive and legislative branches.
