“Printed Proceedings” (St. Croix Series 1) and “Proceedings of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Supervisors” (St. Croix Series 10) contain related records.
Official County Board proceedings for 1840-1848 were entered in what was subsequently Volume 1 of the Washington County, Minnesota, Official County Board Proceedings. Proceedings for 1848-1862 were contained together in a “General Entry Book” with a record of liquor receipts, a tabulation of election returns, and membership lists of County Board committees. This latter volume was not found in March, 1967, when State Historical Society staff members inventoried the contents of the Clerk's and Register of Deeds' basement storage room. Also apparently lost is volume “C,” which should have contained County Board proceedings for 1881-1890.
