Abstract:

Dockets recording actions taken in civil and criminal cases brought before the justices of the peace and before the justice of the village police court indicating the names of the plaintiff and defendant, and in some cases those of their attorneys, the complaint entered, dates of various actions and proceedings, court costs, a short summary of the case, verdict given, and the justice's signature. Some volumes contain records of marriages performed by the justice of the peace.
