Abstract:

Files of department staff and contract employees who headed the electronic preparation for possible computer problems in the year 2000 for Wisconsin state government. Included are files of Douglas Bingenheimer, who exercised functional responsibility for the state institutions; Bill Braham, who dealt with research and communications issues; Paul Kronberger; and Frank Paynter and Chris Kauffold, who dealt with telecommunications. Many staff who worked on this team-based project are not documented. In general the files consist of planning development materials, e-mail communications, charts and spreadsheets, meeting agenda and minutes, and handwritten notes.
