Abstract:

Applications, complaints, notices of hearings, transcripts, exhibits, briefs, memoranda, and correspondence relating to cases before the commission involving car ferry services and other water carriers. Includes a major case concerning the application of Charles Voight Marine to operate a passenger service from Gills Rock to Washington Island, and subsequent opposition from the Washington Island Ferry Line. The photographs show the car ferry to Washington Island. This file was maintained for reference use -- to answer inquiries from staff, other state agencies, and the general public.
