Abstract:

Record of deaths recorded between 1852 and 1907 with the various county Registers of Deeds. For each death, the individual's name, race, sex, occupation, place of birth, and age are shown, along with names of parents and spouse, date, place and cause of death, place of burial, name and address of the person submitting the certificate, and the dates of the certificate and registration. Some of the deaths occurred prior to 1852. Records are incomplete, particularly for deaths prior to ca. 1875. No records are included for Chippewa County. All reels are positive. Each Area Research Center has a duplicate copy for counties in its region.
