The Historical Society holds four separate series of records of the Governor's Commission on the Status of Women. The contents of Series 1967 through 1969 were accessioned in 1980 and include both textual records and machine-readable data files of the CETA and Wisconsin Women Research Project. Series 2193, the Administrative Records, was accessioned in 1979. Although records exist for the entire span of the commission, the documentation by administrative records is extremely fragmentary. The University of Wisconsin Archives holds the papers of Kathryn F. Clarenbach, chair of the commission, which fill many of the gaps found in Series 2193.
