Records of James Holton, Assistant Quartermaster General at Milwaukee documenting supplies, equipment, and transportation furnished to volunteer regiments and training camps from that office during the Civil War. Included is information on vendors and costs; the kinds and quantities of supplies ordered, issued, and on hand; and the units and camps to which supplies and equipment were issued.
