Abstract:
Records pertaining to the Wisconsin Railroad Farm Mortgage Land Company's efforts to help those who suffered losses in mortgaging their land to aid in the building of the La Crosse and Milwaukee Railroad and the Milwaukee and Horicon Railroad. Included are land patents issued by the state and sold through the company; Assembly resolutions relating to the company; annual reports by the commissioners; records of dividends, receipts, and disbursements; land record and cash book; and a list of claimants.
