Abstract:
Annual reports to the Secretary of State and later to the State Board of Control showing the payment due the state from Wisconsin counties for the care of dependents and inmates in various state and county institutions. Included is the name of the county, the date of the inmate's admission and discharge, and maintenance costs. The represented institutions are those for which the Archives does not hold admission or inmate case files: Central State Hospital for the Insane, Northern Hospital for the Insane (later Wisconsin State Hospital), Southern Wisconsin Colony, State Tuberculosis Sanatorium, Lake Tomahawk State Camp, and various county institutions.
