Abstract:
Incoming and outgoing correspondence of the governor and his military and private secretaries spanning several gubernatorial administrations. Much of the correspondence is concerned with routine departmental and administrative matters. There are some references to military affairs, although most matters of that nature are documented in Series 49, Military Correspondence.
