Image subject albums compiled by Society Iconography staff in the mid-20th century for common image requests. Subjects covered: early American Frontier Forts, United States Civil War, agriculture and farming, lumbering, steamboats, railroads, aeronautics, Wisconsin towns and cities with several albums devoted to Racine and Madison, the four state capitols of Wisconsin, University of Wisconsin, and the La Follette family. Images are not limited to Wisconsin, and include images from Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Formats include: photographs, drawings, maps, broadsides, and reproductions.
