Abstract:
Aerial photographs of Wisconsin's landscapes taken by Carl Guell while serving with the Wisconsin Aeronautics Commission, later the Bureau of Aeronautics, from which he retired in 1985. Over three decades, Guell took over one thousand 35 mm slide photographs of aerial views over every Wisconsin county. The transparencies are listed by county and thereunder by nearest municipality. Also included is a manual to the collection, created by Dr. Todd A. Fonstad at UW-Oshkosh, which includes a brief description of each slide and is arranged by the five physiographic regions of Wisconsin.
