Copy photographs, circa 1928-1948, of oil paintings of members of Native American tribes; paintings by H.H. (Henry H.) Cross, circa 1890-1900, primarily chiefs known for their actions in frontier warfare: Plenty Horses, Ouray, Bloody Mouth, Red Cloud, Gall, Geronimo, Rain-in-the-Face, and others. Also includes George Custer, General William T. Sherman and others. These paintings were exhibited at the State Historical Society of Wisconsin, circa 1928. Portraits of Amos Chapman and Major John M. Burke by H.H. Cross appear in the name file. English
