Abstract:
Photographs, interviews, and other materials of John Newhouse, from 1945 to 1974, a reporter and photographer for the Wisconsin State Journal, Madison, Wisconsin, consisting primarily of black and white negatives, made for the State Journal, including extensive aerial views of Madison and the surrounding area. Other subjects covered are Monona Terrace and Convention Center project, the University of Wisconsin-Hill Farms development, Madison city planning, Monona Basin Project, Madison Police Chief Bruce Weatherly, and the Madison Public Housing Authority.
