Abstract:

Papers of Jones, a Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, city commissioner (1935-1953) and Common Council member, who was long active in local Democratic Party affairs. Jones was also president and manager of the Fondy Area Bus Cooperative, a citizens' movement to provide mass transit for the city. The collection consists of general correspondence and subject files primarily relating to Jones' activities in office. Fond du Lac's garbage, sewage, water, and library departments are particularly well-documented.
