Abstract:

Records of the Wisconsin Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance, a professional association of Wisconsin instructors, coaches, and officials engaged in physical education, athletics, dance, and health education, that was originally formed in 1903 as the Wisconsin Society for Physical Education. Included are constitutions, by-laws, and articles of incorporation; position papers; annual reports; minutes of the executive board, annual meetings, and the Representative Assembly; treasurers' reports and budgets, and other financial records; officers' correspondence; lists of members; and publications. Subject files document the group's involvement with sports for women, cerification, lobbying, and public relations. Also included are miscellaneous published reports and studies, photographs, and films and videorecordings.
