Abstract:
Records of the Wisconsin State Chamber of Commerce, a private organization formed in 1929 to study and promote business and industry in Wisconsin. Included are minutes, correspondence, subject files, transcripts, financial records, and photographs on the political, educational, and social activities of the organization. The bulk of the collection consists of minutes of meetings, committee reports, and subject files which describe how businesses in Wisconsin adjusted to changes in the economy from 1940 to 1960. Also included are fragmentary minutes, correspondence, financial records, and promotional materials of the Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Executives, a related organization.
