Abstract:

Papers of a Wisconsin state assemblyman and senator, including correspondence, 1929-1937; materials relating to an investigation of charges of communistic teaching at the University of Wisconsin, 1935; correspondence while a member of the State Emergency Board, 1936; and speeches. The materials reflect Brunette's concerns about school financing, hunting and fishing regulations, and other topics. Several letters from UW President Glenn Frank are present.
