Abstract:

Questionnaires used by University of Wisconsin sociologists N. J. Demerath III, Gerald Marwell, and Michael T. Aiken to collect data on the attitudes and experiences of volunteers who worked in voter registration campaigns in the South in 1965. The results of the study were published as Dynamics of Idealism: White Activists in a Black Movement, which is available in the Historical Society Library.
