Abstract:

These volumes list a weekly summary of the earnings, by picture, of all United Artists releases. This weekly summary was taken directly or indirectly from the daily contract registers. It appears that over the years different methods of transferring the total figures were used. The weekly summaries of each picture were totaled at the end of each month. These totals were then divided according to producer/corporation share, and the cumulative totals were transferred to the General Ledgers (Series 3C). Volumes for 1934, 1937, 1940, and 1947 were not received by the Historical Society with the rest of the series.
