Singer, and of several other mining companies which were operating earlier in the same region including the Badger Mining Company (1924-1932), Wisconsin Zinc Flotation Company (1935-1937), Rule Mining Company (1935-1943), and the Vinegar Hill Zinc Company. The collection documents mining activities in southwestern Wisconsin primarily at the Simpson mine, the Dodgeville mine, and the Vinegar Hill mine; the company's financial and business operations; employees' benefits and wages; the company's Dodgeville Flotation Company affairs; and company interactions with the federal government regarding war-time supply and manpower management.
