Abstract:
Papers of Wisconsin State Senator Robert Jauch (b. 1945) who represented the 25th Senate District from 1987-2015. Jauch also served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1983-1987. The papers consist of correspondence, press releases, legislation, notes and speeches, and news clippings relating principally to autism awareness, gay marriage, healthcare reform, mining, and environmental issues. Jauch was one of the “Wisconsin 14,” a group of state senators who left Wisconsin during the 2011 Wisconsin protests in an effort to stop the passage of Governor Scott Walker’s Budget Repair Bill.
