Abstract:

Somos Latinas Project is a community based research project led by Dr. Andrea Teresa "Tess" Arenas (Madison, Wisconsin) with the goal of documenting through oral histories the activism of women in the Latino community. The collection includes audio or video interviews with 46 Wisconsin Latinas as well as the personal papers of a few of the project participants consisting of news articles, pamphlets, fliers and programs, newsletters, photographs, and posters advertising events in Milwaukee and Madison.
