Abstract:

Clerk's record books, 1883-1971 and 1932-1971; and a finance book, 1883-1934. Record books include proceedings of regular and special village board meetings, reports of receipts and disbursements; petitions, ordinances and resolutions; election results; Board of Review and committee reports. Matters considered included street maintenance, permits and licenses, school district business, and all aspects of village governance. The finance book lists receipts and disbursements. Entries are arranged chronological and thereunder by account. Volume 1 (1883-1900), contains a map, incorporation papers and by-laws or ordinances.
