Abstract:
Records of the Board of Supervisors consisting of original volumes of the official board proceedings, 1855-1950; original papers of proceedings, 1950-1985, 1988-1992; and committee minutes, 1985-1992. The original volumes contain minutes of meetings, resolutions, reports of public officials and committees, financial reports, and related material. The original papers of proceedings provide similar information as the volumes only in more detail, plus include background documents related to matters considered by the Board, communications and claims addressed to the board, and other papers relating to the operations, services, finances, planning and policy of county government. Committee minutes include minutes of meetings and the correspondence of permanent standing committees and ad hoc committees. Records, 1855-1950, are available on microfilm and paper. Records, 1950-1976, are available on microfiche and paper. Records, 1976-1992, are available on microfiche only.
