The majority of the news releases deal with the success and attractiveness of UA films, including such materials as reprints of favorable reviews in the media and reports of various honors awarded to films and their casts. Also included are numerous items concerning the newsworthy activities of stars and directors, radio broadcasts, premieres and other promotional events. Forthcoming productions are discussed at length and the 1949 section is notable for a weekly list of active United Artists' films broken down by production status (in production, awaiting release, etc.). Announcements of agreements between United Artists and various producers and news notices about the casting and production of films appear frequently. Corporate business matters and personnel changes are the subject matter for still other news releases.
