The original Stephen McGrath material received from United Artists consisted of twenty
bundles. The resulting records contain a weeded sample of McGrath's 1947 playdate sales
correspondence. The material covers many of the same topics as United Artists Series 1K, 2K
and 3K, but with an exacting legal eye since it deals with each theater's contract.
Contracts were drawn up as the playdate terms and finances were agreed upon, most fulfilled
without adjustment. The series primarily concerns those contracts requiring a change. The
records are arranged alphabetically by exchange except for a file of correspondence from
1931.
