Abstract:
Files of Robert Hilton, head of the United Artists Print Department, consisting of copyright certifications, continuity scripts, censorship reports from state boards, translations, and correspondence regarding printing and foreign and domestic shipment of various feature films and short subjects. The documentation varies greatly. Some titles are represented only by correspondence, while others include dialogue continuities and a few are represented by complete screenplays. The majority of the series is arranged alphabetically by film title. Well documented films include Comedy Carnival, Garden of Allah, The Ghost Goes West, The Great Dictator, Hangmen Also Die, Henry V, Hurricane, Lady of Burlesque, The Lion Has Wings, Little Lord Fauntleroy, Major Barbara, Of Mice and Men, The Outlaw, Raffles, Rebecca, Red Salute, Spellboard, Stella Dallas, Turnabout, and 2000 Women.
