Abstract:

Manpower Development and Training Act grant application files, 1970-1974, administered by the Employment Security Division. Included are grant application forms for county-level job training programs, project plans and narratives, summaries of costs, background information, and correspondence. Grant applications describe the need for specific occupations such as clerks, welders, auto repair technicians, and machine operators in different Wisconsin counties as well as that county's economic condition and outlook. Also included are some records on the Department of Industry, Labor and Human Relations Summer Youth Program, 1974, which sponsored youth programs throughout the state.
