Abstract:
This collection provides a thorough overview of the organization of the Wisconsin Oral History Day conferences in Madison, Eau Claire, and Milwaukee from 2008-2010. University of Wisconsin-Madison Oral Historian Troy Reeves developed the conference to build statewide support for oral history. It was primarily funded by the Wisconsin Humanities Council. The first conference was held at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on April 14, 2008. On April 26-27, 2009 Reeves and co-organizers organized the second Wisconsin Oral History Day conference at UW-Eau Claire. In 2010 Reeves, scholars including Michael Doylen, and the Jewish Museum Milwaukee organized the March 28, 2010, Wisconsin Oral History Day conference in Milwaukee. The materials include budget documents, grant applications, fliers, programs, correspondence, meeting minutes, survey responses, keynote addresses, panel audio recordings, and photographs.
