The Council of Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP) records contains the early records of the organization, from its founding in 1967 until 1984. CLMP was established to be a source of funding for little magazines and small publishing presses, redistributing funds from National Endowment of the Arts and New York State Council on the Arts grants. The records contain a vast array of correspondence with hundreds of magazines, literary journals, and presses. Records further include Board of Directors meetings, administrative files, financial reports, membership lists, the Ford Foundation distribution project, and the College Contest applications and administrative materials.
