The Desi Wisconsin South Asian Immigration Oral History Project is comprised of ten audio
interviews with immigrants from Southeast Asia. The project was created to document the
experiences of early South Asian immigrants to the Milwaukee area. Sharath Raja conducted
the interviews in 2020 and 2021. Digital scans of photographs from five of the ten
interviewees highlight their lives in India as well as the Milwaukee area over the course of
the past decades.
