Congregations Untied for Community Action (CUFCA) was founded in 1977 as an
ecumenical organization of Milwaukee churches. It was made up of over a dozen local
congregations that included Catholic and various Protestant churches. Goals of this
organization were to improve living conditions for residents through community
organizing, advocacy and empowerment.
