Abstract:
The Wisconsin Farm Labor Program records (1942-1948) contain reports, correspondence, research project materials, and information on laborers from the West Indies, migrant Texas-Mexicans, and German prisoners of war. Information includes where certain groups and individuals were assigned to work within Wisconsin and other Midwestern states, types of crops grown and in what region, information on family-run farms, and crop yields. The collection also includes newspaper clippings on backlash towards migrant cherry-pickers in Door county, Wisconsin.
