This series contains mostly visual media such as photographs, contact sheets, negatives and slides. These materials came arranged by year even though not all items are individually dated. Photographs that were previously arranged chronologically together when received have been kept together as much as possible. Some items have very detailed descriptions on the back while others have none. Most of the photographs appear to be snapshots taken by staff or sent to the mayor's office by event attendees. There are some materials that seem to be sent to the mayor's office from professional photographers, but it is unclear if these were contracted. There are images of Norquist with a variety of celebrities and elected officials. There is duplication between the formats, especially slides and photographs. At the end of this finding aid is an index of identified people or events; however many images remain unidentified and are not described in the index. Even if not mentioned in the index description, Norquist is in almost all photographs.

Also included are two audio cassettes and one piece of artwork. Of the two audio cassettes, one is a recording of the Milwaukee Guarantee theme song titled "Keep Hope Alive" and the other is a radio interview, no date. The artwork is a framed print titled "Dedicated to Milwaukee" depicting current and former Milwaukee Mayors Norquist, Henry Maier, and Frank Zeidler along with Milwaukee County Executives David Schulz, John Doyne and William O'Donnell sitting around a card table. The original was much larger and presented to Norquist in 1989. Images of that presentation can be found in slides in this collection.
