: Draper notes, correspondence, and transcripts of (eighteenth-century newspaper articles and Virginia public records, all of which pertain to Clark's life, 1785-1789. Major topics are the Wabash campaign of 1786 and Clark's proposed colony west of the Mississippi in Spanish territory about 1788. Included are biographical and genealogical materials on his reported associate in the latter venture, Thomas Green of Mississippi, and the Green family. Also filed in the volume is a manuscript on Indian treaties, 1784-1795, written by Daniel Drake.
