Correspondence and subject files from the Division of Children and Family Services, 2002, and related to the state's 1998 takeover of the Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare (BMCW). Included are control mail, annual reports, meeting material, legislation, proclamations, grants for projects geared to at-risk children and youth, speeches, press kits, and fact sheets. Subjects covered include special needs adults, problems related to aging, drugs and alcohol abuse, care of foster children, mental health, and disabilities and illness.
