Abstract:
Family papers of the Reverend Sewell, a Congregational clergyman who emigrated from England in the 1830s and later settled in Wisconsin. Included are volumes of verse and prose articles; brief school records of his daughters, Mary Sewell Young and Anne B. Sewell; an account book with school expenses, 1875-1880, term announcements, and other items kept by Anne Sewell, principal of the Oconomowoc Select School; a diary kept by Reverend Sewell, 1871-1874; and some family papers of the Reverend A. A. Young.
